ask someone if you need help with the scoring system.
Net Score: The player with the higher handicap gets to reduce his gross score
by the difference between the two competing player’s handicaps. That same
player can also reduce scores for individual holes when determining match play.
Strokes are subtracted beginning on the highest handicap hole.
Rules: USGA
rules apply. No winter rules. 3 minute time limit when searching for lost
balls.
Score Cards: Use the brown “OAK HILL GOLF CLUB MEN’S LEAGUE” score cards. The
most intelligent person should fill out the scorecard. Please read the instructions
on how to fill out the score card properly for league play. Place your scorecard in
the league scorecard box after your round. Please write your names clearly.
Substitutes: Anyone can be a substitute. If the player has subbed before in the league, he will have a
league handicap. If he has not subbed before, try to determine his handicap (See "All About
Handicaps"). If a handicap cannot be determined, he is given a
handicap of 5. Please give the complete name of the sub (first and last).
Uneven Teams: If a flight ends up with an odd number of teams, certain teams
will have 1 or more bye nights. On a bye night, your team will automatically
receive 6 points. You do not have to play to receive the 6 points.
